1. The Lord speaks in visions and words—He speaks so profoundly when we are silent and wait for Him to show us His heart.
*In Thailand, I prayed into Cambodia. These are the words/pictures he gave me:
Vision 1: I saw the Lord show me a building with a woman serving food to children holding plates. (Occurred on 2/11)
Vision 2: I saw a girl who was sitting on the outskirts of the group, with an emotional covering. (Happened on 2/19 when we were in a village–she never joined the circle)
Vision 3: Open doors (Revealed on 2/14–the Lord showed me that the doors were all partially opened, revealing that their hearts were also partially opened)
Vision 4: A Jeep in a Garage (Happened on 2/25–as we left the home, I noticed that the new jersey Elljah was wearing had “Jeep” on it, and we were in the garage) Continue to lift him up–God has special plans for this boy!
2. Paper airplanes are a perfect way to enjoy little boys. But what a beautiful reminder of God’s desire to see them soar to new heights with Him and challenge the limits of our human minds—and to rely on His strength and abilities to go above and beyond!
3. Water fights remind me that acting like a kid can be full of fun and life. It pushes you to embrace the moment. It also provides relief from the heat of the day.
4. His love is essential for these children. My love can only extend so far into their lives, and I can only provide so much for their needs.
5. God desires to captivate thoughts, emotions, and actions—He will bestow the Fruit of the Spirit. We will speak life and light—others will know we are His because of the Fruit we show.
6. Art: Developing creations with imagination displays His unique design in each of us. It also allows an outlet for the children to express themselves.
7. Tuk Tuk rides teach you about yourself, your team and the country you are in—sharing funny stories, starting water fights, inhaling dust is crazy, shedding of tears, napping, learning how to spit seeds, singing all sorts of songs…all sorts of fun!
8. Dance parties = JOY! He refreshes the soul when we let go and live in the moment—not caring for opinions or rules, but expressing “all the feels” you can feel freely!
9. Walks in the village are pure sweetness—many things can take place: piggy back rides, holding hands, sharing donuts, being taught Khmer words, enjoying drinks, climbing trees, skipping, exploring nature, being protected from motos and trucks.
10. Riding a moto allows you to enjoy the freedom of life—hair blowing in the wind, left to your own thoughts…until sand catches the tire…then things can get interesting.
11. His Light is ever present in nature—as it is in people—It brings hope. Strongholds surrender and we live in freedom.
