WOW – I should definitely update more often. Sorry for keeping you all out of the loop!
T-shirts should arrive tomorrow! There are still some available if you’d like to buy one.
This is about to turn into a serious post, I apologize for minimizing the fun, but I think you might enjoy it..or it will make you think a little.
I have six Saturdays until I graduate. Yup. six. That’s scary.
The past few weeks have been pretty hard with classes, homework, projects, and all sorts of outside commitments and my patience has been tested. I’ve been in an awful mood – unable to put up with people being lazy or not pulling their weight. That’s an awful attitude to have. Yesterday I was exhausted and started to take a nap, but realized that I’m not pulling MY weight – I’m not helping others or encouraging. I’m being Debbie-Downer and that’s not right, especially on the eve of a trip where teamwork is KEY.
Needless to say – God’s been teaching me a lot about living His Word out instead of calling other people out on it.
I’m also working on my Chaco tan, not that it’s much to write home about yet. It will be. Give me time! It’s already 80 degrees here in good ol’ Rome, GA and I don’t expect it to be too cold any time soon.
In other wonderful news – I’ve got a job! It’s just part time and won’t be many hours right now, but it’s something! It’s at a coffee shop here in town. Right now I’m praying about a place to LIVE over the summer and transportation to work. I thought I had it all figured out, but I’m just winging it. I’m depending on God to make it happen. He’s good at that. I have training Thursday night.
I’ve been looking for an outside-of-school job for THREE years at Berry and I’m just now getting one. God’s timing is p.e.r.f.e.c.t.
Fundraising: You guys are ridiculous. I’m up to somewhere around 1700 dollars right now! That does not include money from t-shirts. I also have a brand new Patagonia backpack to take on the race – it’s my daypack, but STILL! It’s gorgeous – orange and laser lemon yellow. I’m in love. I can’t wait to get the rest of my stuff! I’m so thankful for all the people who are donating things (not just money). You all are incredible.
On March 31 I’ll be selling fun things at Berry’s spring Craft Show. You should come by and check it out!! We’re going to have TONS of great crafties that my best friend has helped me make! Can’t wait to see you there.
Thanks for your prayers and continued support!!
