Hey, reader!

Wow. It’s been a loooong while since we’ve sat down together. I hope you find yourself in beauty today; I hope you find yourself the way He finds you today.

(ps you look SNAZZY today! is that a new shirt?)

As you might’ve gathered from the title, I have exciting news! I have the privilege of going back onto the field with Gap Year again! This time around, I’ll be on the field as a squad leader for 9 months with Gap K. Here’s the link to their squad page so you can see their sweet faces!

(aren’t they cuties?!)

The last time I squad lead for Gap Year, I got to do life with Gap E. We spent time in Gainesville Georgia, Foley Alabama, Quito Ecuador, Antigua Guatemala, and so many places in between. The men and women on Gap E have changed my life forever and continue to shape me into a greater version of me. A version of me who lives holding hands with her Creator.

As I prepare to travel through Thailand, Cambodia, South Africa and Guatemala with my family of Gap K, I’ve been praying that our Abba would open my eyes and soften my heart to what He’s preparing us for as a squad. Something I believe He’s softening my heart to is the idea of re-defining what family looks like. A sad fact in this life is that broken families exist all around us. For some of us, we see it in our own homes. Our neighbor’s home. Our best friend’s home. Family can be seen as stress inducing, passive, angry, distant; the list goes on. And don’t get me wrong! Family is also beautiful, tight knit, intimate, full of wonder; the list goes on for this as well. Family means so many different things.

Abba’s been putting it on my heart lately to think of how HE designed family to begin with: am I living within His design? Am I pursuing hearts the way He created me to? Am I forgiving those around me or am I holding grudges for the sake of holding them? It comes back to identity. He calls me His child, His daughter. In order for me to be a daughter, that means I have a Father. Lucky for us, He’s the best in the business. In Ephesians 2, He reminds us that we are all apart of His household; His family. We create one body together. When the hand gets hurt, the whole body is affected. (1 Corinthians 12:26) What a humbling privilege to suffer with our brothers and sisters. To celebrate with one another as well; He invites us into such beauty each and every day.

I invite you to walk with me as I walk with Gap H. As we dive deeper into being family and walking what Abba has for us that day. Join me in praying for redemption! For healing! For intimacy with our Father! For friendship to run deep! I can’t wait to walk with these beautiful people and to see who we meet along the way. Thank you for being a beautiful person I get to walk with!

Thanks for joining me, friend! I hope you find delight in today. Maybe these songs can bring you some delight if you haven’t found it yet. Cheers to you! Thank you for being in my life! 🙂
