Introducing the first of its kind, the Expedition squad of 2016. We are fierce. We are warriors for Christ. We are the next generation. Daring to pioneer the unreached world with a purpose of sharing the love of our savior. This is our story.
It all started on October 15th, 2015 in the Atlanta airport. With heavy eye lids and morning breath we began to trickle into the airport from various parts of North America. Excitement filled the air as finally the opportunity had arrived to meet the brothers and sisters whom we would be spending the next 13 months bringing the kingdom and blowing minds.
After a few cups of coffee and a quick trip in busses and vans we arrived at Adventures in Missions headquarters in Gainesville, GA. We would be spending the next 10 days at training camp preparing for battle. We had no idea what was about to hit us. God was about to do work.
The week was filled with worship, letting go, accepting who God has created us to be, team building, tears, joy, laughter, and scenarios which we would encounter throughout the world. Sleep was a rare thing. Small portions of ethnic foods and full portions of God’s grace filled our hearts and bellies, giving us energy to overcome fear and doubt. The Holy Spirit was alive and we felt it.
Strangers became best friends. Disciples were created. The truth was set before us that we are no longer sinners but instead sons and daughters of our good and wonderful creator. This gift is for everyone. All it takes is a few crazy people to give up everything and go. That is what we are doing. The world has no idea what is headed its way.
As pioneers, the expedition route will be going back to the roots of what the World Race was when it first began in 2006. We will be focused on the 10/40 window, the most unreached portion of this world. It will be dangerous but we are not afraid. If God is for us, who then shall come against us? We were chosen because of our hunger and thirst. We will change lives and ourselves be changed forever. The Holy Spirit will be our guide and our words. Our father in heaven will bring us strength and energy. Our savior Jesus Christ will be our grace and our compassion. This is the beginning of the rest of our lives.

Is that Frodo and Gandalf? Nah, that’s just expedition putting in work before the sunrise.
A typical World Race physical test consists of walking or running 2 miles in under 30 minutes with a 35lb pack. Expedition did 4 miles in under an hour. Beastmode!
18 mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. Fighting though pain and exhaustion, we began to form bonds that will forever be engraved on our hearts.
Campfires filled with fellowship, worship, healing, and rest.
Work hard. Play hard. Sleep harder.
The arena. Squad wars. Unity.
