I’m finally here in Thailand and it has been amazing so far! The past few days I’ve had the opportunity to grow relationally with my team during ministry, chat with monks about Jesus at a temple, and attend an English/Thai church.

All of that was super awesome, but to be honest and real with you, we just finished our first full week of ministry and it is difficult. This week, we have been at an orphanage sanding cafeteria tables by hand. Yesterday, I struggled with thinking how this was bringing the kingdom. However, today I realized that God has placed me here for a purpose, and if that purpose is to sand tables all day just to serve and love the maintenance man of the orphanage, then I will do it. Sometimes in life we don’t really understand why God has placed us somewhere and if we continue to complain or question his guidance, then we won’t be present in the work He is doing where we are. One cool part of our ministry site being an orphanage is that everyday around four o’clock we get to stop manual labor to go hang out with the kids getting back from school. My favorite thing to do so far is to jump on the trampoline with the kids because I love to see the joy on their faces.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who has either prayerfully or financially supported me so that I could be in Thailand right now! I never thought that I would fundraise $15,800 but with God leading the way we did it!!!!
