What is life?

I like to get kinda deep sometimes (ok, maybe a lot) and this is a question that comes up and that has been asked forever. What is life? What does true, full, life look like?

Well, first and foremost, life is an opportunity to worship God. It’s an opportunity to see and respond to His glory and also love those around you. It’s a chance to laugh, a chance to cry, a chance to be stuck where you’re at, and a chance to run as fast as you can.

But, if you’re like me, even after knowing this, you find yourself still wondering, “what does living true life really look like? I want to actually see it and live it. Give me an example.”

Now, I’m no expert, but to me, living true, kingdom-focused, life here on Earth looks something like this:

Thirteen guys eating cold chicken and drinking warm Coke while crammed into a hotel room with the Planetshakers playing in the background.

Right now, you’re probably thinking like, “wait, what?”

That’s it right there though.

When it comes down to it, I believe a true, kingdom-focused, life can be whatever I make it to be while seeking God’s glory. There doesn’t, and maybe shouldn’t, need to be a set way we pursue God and His kingdom. Pursuing the kingdom can look like men being messy, eating gross food, and fellowshipping and worshiping together in a cramped space. It doesn’t need to be pretty. It just needs to glorify God. That’s what true life looks like.

That’s the life that I am pursuing.

This scene I described happened during a launch training day this past week. My squad and I are now on the road though, and we will be in our first country, Colombia, on Tuesday. I’m so excited to continue to develop what living a kingdom-focused life looks like and to do it with a group of like-minded Christ-followers.

I would love your prayers as we begin this journey, that God would move and open doors in so many, unimaginable, ways, and I thank you all again for the incredible support over these past many months.

To God be the glory!
