Life has been very much like a hurricane down here. There is a calmness that comes from being in the center of His presence and you get hit hard even if you start to stray a bit outside of that. Any time you start relying on your own strength in any sense of the word, you’re sure to get a wake up call. This last week held a myriad of unique complications and tasks to perform in the midst of team members and leaders getting sick. All in all it was a good week but like always it didn’t exactly go as anticipated. Regardless, the team has left safely and I thank God for having them down here to bless and to be blessed.

I don’t quite have the time to really fill you in on all of the things going on right now in my life but I can assure you there’s a lot. I wanted to highlight a few prayer requests and praises. Everyone here has been feeling considerably better the past day or so and so hopefully this the upswing of getting healthy and we don’t have a team getting hit hard again. Also, we’ve been working with a Pastor, who with his wife, run an orphanage. We had a team help them out for part of this past week and they’ve been heavy on my heart. Well, I got an email today from Seth concerning a church interested in essentially adopting an orphanage down here. A couple emails later and some hours after, it appears as though we’ve got a pretty good match! I love how God organizes things before we even know what we’re really looking for. I’ll keep you updated. That’s just one of the connections made within the past couple days and I will write more extensively at some point in time when the details of this and others get finalized. Needless to say, God is moving and it’s encouraging to see.

There’s always a need for prayer for health in all senses of the words for teams and leaders down here. I will also try to get some other requests to you soon. However this one is the one I would love for you to focus on tonight and into tomrrow.

One of the young men on staff with me down here came down a couple weeks ago as a participant and stayed on as a leader. His name is Marcio and he’s never preached before. He’s open to whatever God wants for him and is like a sponge right now. Anyway, he’s going to be preaching tomorrow which will be a good stretch for him. I love his willingness to be used and to follow wherever he’s being led. Please pray that God stills his heart, speaks to him clearly and puts His words in his mouth. If you can cover him in prayer so that he walks in God’s grace, mercy and love tomorrow especially it would mean a lot to me. In the meantime I am going to see if he needs any help preparing…
