Today is Songcron (no idea how to spell it) in Thailand. This is a nationwide new year where everyone joins in a huge water fight. Technically, it’s one day but they spread out a few days before and after to make sure everyone gets soppin’ wet!!! I’m pretty sure the US needs to do something like this π Anyway, I thought I’d show you a few pics from Easter with some thoughts and let you know how the last few days went and what’s in store for the next few days π
Since the New Years festivities are in ful tilt, everything else comes to a halt. This means that stores close, roads close, schools stop and everybody gets wet. This has enabled our team to get out and do some “touristy-type” things even though I don’t enjoy feeling like a tourist. On the flip side, I kind of like doing some things that tourists do. My teammate Mel has her bday in December and since we wouldn’t be able to celebrate her birthday with her this year, we decided to throw her a birthday. I don’t have pics downloaded yet about the day and may not be able to soon, but you should check out her page in the next couple days to get a glimpse of we did!!! In short, it involved bamboo rafting, a little hiking, elephant riding (where I got to ride on the neck and head!,) a lunch, a village, waterfall swimming and partially climbing. We chilled, watched a movie and had a splendid day…can’t argue with any of it π
Yesterday was Easter which comes as no shock to most of you!! I had the pleasure of accompanying 8 amazing women to the highest place in Thailand. Doi Inthanon is a national park that is huge and looks even bigger from the top. We did a little hiking, praying, resting, sight-seeing and enjoying of God’s creation…Here are a few pics

Along the way, Jenn and I decided to hang out after climbing some vines π She kind of got me started for later!
After a little devo and prayer we decided to start hiking back down the mountain…For reference sake, this is the highest point in Thailand…
Easter Thought: Those of you women who are reading this right now and fel as though you are always in the background fighting to stay faithful… I want you to know that it is those very women who were in that role for Jesus who got to see Him first! In fact, according to the angel they were “scheduled” to see Him in Galilee but He was so excited to see them that He appeared before they even got back to the men…He notices you and is excited to reveal Himself to you!!!

Doi Inthanon Waterfall
I believe this is the largest waterfall in Doi Inthanon and I have no idea how many feet high it is but it’s big….really big. Earlier I mentioned that Jenn got me started with the whole climbing thing. WELL, that and the fact tha I am about to join the guys for MANistry got me itching…so I climbed it π Obviously I didn’t climb up the center of it, but I climbed the side of the waterfall which was a pretty fun feat in itself.

Just for a different shot so that you can see how small I am compared to the top of this waterfall…pretty sure this pic was taken with zoom π Anyway, it felt good to conquer and I’m ready to get some time with my men…speaking of which: All the guys on the squad except Dave H and I are out in the mountains doing some manistry. Dave and I will hop on a bus and head to find them tomorrow. We wil be with the rest of the guys for the rest of the month which probably means no internet and plenty of randomness…Please continue to pray for safety and favor as He delights in revealing Himself to us and those we are loving. I’m also looking forward to getting more joy, excitement and life into me so pray that we wouldn’t miss an opportunity for more depth, intimacy and life as we spur each other on π
In the meantime be blessed and be a blessing. May His peace and grace rest upon you mightily!
