OK, second of all I wanted to let you know that if you had an inkling in you to send a package to me in some country this next year that it probably won’t work logistically. However, you may send mail to the AIM headquarters in Atlanta and they will deliver it by hand during our “debriefs.” I would love to hear your encouragement, thoughts and prayer requests while I’m traveling! Now for your quick update:
I’m humbled more and more each day as God provides His faithfulness. My heart is thankful beyond words for you and all of your support! Seriously, I’ve never been all that great at asking for help in a lot of areas of my life and while it has been a humbling process for me to do so, it has also been an encouraging process because of your overwhelming generosity and support! Thank you!
Financially I am about $50 shy of being above the 60% threshold in my account. That means that I will be qualified to head out on this race!!! Praise God 🙂 I also have about $1,700 in pledges which means I am about $4,000 short of my total goal. While that isn’t a prerequisite to go, it would be pretty cool if it was completely paid off before I leave! That being said, you can be praying about a fundraiser that is coming up for me!
This upcoming Thursday evening (the 18th) from 6-9pm, I will be at bd’s mongolian barbeque on 28th St. in Grand Rapids! I will have some of my friends help me grill and we will be able to put all the tips from the grilling into my account!! If you would like to attend, you can also pre-order a ticket for the night. Pre-ordering is NOT at all something that you HAVE to do if you are interested in coming. If you show up, I’ll fill you in on what all is going on. You can be praying that God puts it on people’s hearts to come and be fed and that they would come with an open heart!
Also, I am planning on having a silent auction for a number of random items. I’m in the process of asking businesses to donate items. You can pray that I’d have favor with the businesses that choose to give donations and that this auction would go well! I am not sure how this fundraiser will go, but I plan on having a party and enjoying all of you!! To God be the glory, so may He use this event how He would and may He bring glory to His name through it!
As always, you can pray that I’d have an increasing hunger and thirst for His righteousness, word and presence…Also that He would continue to tune me to His Spirit…
