haha, I’m glad He’s a joyful God…it’s a wonder we often think of Him as just a vengeful God isn’t it?
Anyway, financially I am currently at around $7,000 and need to get that up to $8,200 by Dec. 15 to go. He will provide that need but I pray that no one will miss out on the blessing of being able to sow into this. Seriously, I firmly believe that God is going to bless people abundantly out of this World Race and I want people to be a part of it! I also have about $1,800 in pledges but I have to have the $8,200 in my account (not including pledges)
prayer requests:
1. If you have read my “heavenly man” blog, you’ll know that He’s been giving me a greater hunger for His word and presence…I need more of that…I feel like Moses when God was upset with the Israelites in the desert and just told Moses to keep going…Moses replied that he wasn’t going unless God was going because “what else will distinguish us from the other nations…” Well, I really only have filthy rags to offer if His presence doesn’t go with us…or more accurately, we don’t go with His presence…
b. if you haven’t read that blog- go read it when you get done praying for these things!!!
2. That God would tune me to His Spirit as a musician would tune his instrument. I want to be an instrument of praise, worship and love making a joyful noise with my heart in tune to where He’d have me go and who/how He would have me love.
3. I’m planning a fundraiser at Mongolian BBQ on the 18th and that God would provide people who would like to grill with me/wait tables with me and of course that people would be hungry…for both food and more!!
4. I’m waiting to hear back from two newspapers and a radio station about possibly running a story about the world race…that He would have His favor on me with all of that
5. Health within my family in a number of ways
6. That I’d stay disciplined in getting everything done and that I’d be spending my time the way He would want me to between now and when I take off!
7. that the funding would come in from joyful givers and that they would be richly blessed…and that includes those giving of their time and prayers- not just finances
