OK, this one is a little lighter and a lot shorter than my normal blogs…haha, anyway I just wanted to say thank you for all of your prayers and support thus far. I have over $4,000 in my account right now with another $2,000 pledged throughout the year. I’m supposed to have approximately $5,600 so far so I’m encouraged with where that is at. I am planning on doing some fund-raisers in the near future and if any of you have any ideas, thoughts, suggestions or would even like to help out, please drop a line!!!

Training camp was amazing! I expected some huge battles and to really be stretched and challenged physically and mentally. Haha, aren’t expectations funny? In the end, God decided to just take some of the things I expected to fight with first and I was left with a profoundly devastating humility and how free freedom actually was. You will hear more about that in my next blog (whether you see that tonight sometime or tomorrow.)

Physically there was nothing that was profoundly difficult which came as both a surprise and encouragement to me. Likewise, when we went camping I was expecting to camp…It didn’t take me long to figure out that this yooper’s idea of camping may be a bit different than other people in this country. Regardless, I felt like I was being pampered in a Hilton of sorts but it allowed me to focus on my heart.

Starting this past week, I’ve learned once again to lay down my strength. His grace is sufficient-my strength is not!!! In my strength He is made strong because He is strong, but in my weakness He is made perfect…and His joy will become my strength. Likewise, he emphasized to me how easy it is for others to misinterpret my actions, words and life. With that, I’ve accepted the challenge to learn to walk in a way where I allow Him to be my defender. If I start to defend myself, you have free reign to smack me in the face 🙂  Finally, it’s time I learn to truly walk in freedom and help others gain that freedom alongside of me.

I have been blessed with an amazing group called Team Luminous! I will also give you a quick blog to introduce my teammates to you either tonight or tomorrow. These are incredible people and I absolutely love the fact that I will be able to serve alongside these beautiful people. It is truly an honor!!! Please pray for them as well throughout this upcoming year.

God is good all the time and the best is yet to come…
