I’ve written some blogs lately dealing with stories of people this past year, stories from the bible and our own stories but I thought it was time to write about His story. His story goes well beyond our comprehension starting with the fact that He always was and always will be. I feel rather unqualified to tell His story which may be why He took the time to give us a portion of it Himself (called the Bible.) So, before I keep going, I’m going to let some of His names speak to you about WHO He is and what His story looks like.
I AM…the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha, Omega, Beginning, End, Bright and Morning Star, Yahweh, Jehovah, The Vine, El Shaddai (God all sufficient), Adonai, Our Banner, Shepherd, Our Righteousness, Judge, Prince of Peace, The Lord Our Healer, The Lord is There, The Lord of Hosts, LORD God, The Lord our sanctifier, The Lord will Provide, Most High, Mighty One, God of seeing, Jealous, Deliverer, Savior, Redeemer, Shield, Stone, Strength, Everlasting God, God of the Covenant, The sun of righteousness, Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, King, God With us, Counselor, Comforter, Baptizer, Advocate, Stengthener, Sanctifier, Seven fold Spirit, Spirit of Truth, Spirit of Grace, Spirit of Mercy, Spirit of Holiness, Spirit of Life and Jesus Christ…
Nothing is too small for Him and He’s already given the world to you, died for you, lives for you, prays for you, loves you and cant wait to come back for you. His only plan concerning you involves becoming one with you…He had to come to Earth and become one of us so that we could become one with Him. The tree in the garden was still good because everything He made in there He said was good…which means that Jesus was always the first plan…not the backup. Think about it. You’ve always been His number one. He’s coming back as a lion and a warrior with love so fierce that mountains will flee, rocks will cry and all of existence will shake under His breath…He’s coming back and He’s coming back soon…whether you’re sleeping or not. The truth is that He’s good, faithful and true. Do you know this God? Do you know this man? Do you realize that He became man forever? Do you think that stopped at the cross? That sacrifice was eternal for the sake of being one with you!! Let that settle in your hearts the next time you think no one cares…His story…has become your story and my story which is becoming Our story!
