About a
month ago, I had two seperate people within a handful of days who had
praying for me say the exact thign to me…that I’m at the “tip of the
iceberg” with what God’s about to do with me. When I hear something
like this I take it and put it away somewhere upstairs. However, when I
hear it twice in a short time from two different sources, then I start
to chew on it a bit more…
The picture above depicts a bit better my initial thoughts to their remarks. When thinking about being at the tip of an iceberg, my mind subconsciously views it in a horizontal manner. The man above is truly at the edge of the iceberg and realistically will always be close to it in a horizontal manner. He can walk the edge and feel like He’s always close to something that will completely revolutionize his existence. Yet, he can also stay there and try to set up a comfort zone up on top and live by his own strength and means.
HOWEVER,
We all know that avast majority of an iceberg is underwater…so what would happen if we viewed being on the tip of the iceberg in a vertical fashion?
I feel like the potential in our lives often looks like the above picture. Unfortunately I also think we too often stay above the water level where “we know how to breathe.” We all know that we’d naturally drown from trying to get to the bottom of the iceberg on our own. So, we just stay up top where we feel like we have a bit more control of our surroundings. Yet, there’s so much more in this life if we go beyond what we can naturally do…
I guess that would be called “Supernatural.”
Most everywhere if not everywhere Jesus went, I’m sure He preached that “The Kingdom of heaven is near…”
What if we were standing on it?
What if it was just under our feet?
What if all we needed was dig deeper?
…To dive in realizing we’d drown without Him giving us a way to breathe supernaturally?
What are you on the edge of?
Are you still trying to navigate this life all on your own?
Are you curious what the rest of the iceberg that He created you to be looks like?
Well…maybe all you need is a shift in your life from the horizontal to the vertical…
Because if He can change my thinking in it…
And He can change your thinking in it…
Maybe…just maybe, He will start changing the world’s perspective…
