First of all, we made it safely to Berlin and everyone is taking a quick nap right now. Thanks for the prayers for good travel and safety.
For those who know that I am a bit of a pyro you don’t have to be concerned about the physical safety of people in Berlin. We aren’t going to literally burn Berlin. Our group of 10 worshipers have come to the city of Berlin to do a “burn” with a group called “fire and fragrance” where our goal is to pray and praise God in hopes that He starts some “spiritual” fires…in which case we do actually want to affect the “safety” of people in Berlin…This weekend we will be praying/worshiping 24/7 here and we invite you at home to join us from your home or wherever you find yourself.
The thing about all of this is that we aren’t coming with the answers and sometimes not even the questions. We aren’t bringing Him anywhere He already isn’t…because He’s already here and His kingdom is advancing forcefully. All we are doing is trying to join Him with what He’s already doing. We are trying to be a catalyst to pump His life into the people here in Berlin. This means that if we want to do anything that will bring anything of worth we need to be the first to get out of the way and let Him consume us. Our desire is to be less and Him to be more so that He can do what He wants in and through us. Our desire is that He would alter us while we rest upon His altar.
Will you ask Him to ignite us? Will you ask Him to start with you as well back at home? God knows that people need Him everywhere…I don’t know if we always do though.
He makes everything beautiful in His time…still your soul…and wait…let it calm and be glad because it’s just a matter of time…
