Here are a few pictures from our trekking time in the Himalayan Mountains. This by no means is anything like a comprehensive look into what we went through, up or over but should give you a taste of the goodness we were blessed with.

Thorong-La pass…The world's largest pass. Still not sure what that statement entails but I do know that you climb a net 16,000 feet after all the ups and downs of climbing mountains inbetween πŸ™‚ Proud of the boys for stickin' with it!

We made ourselves a little shelter and camped out along the way…This kept us mostly dry through the nightly rain showers…Kukuri's are awesome by the way!!!

A pit stop on our way up…

A couple of our trusty guides πŸ™‚ We found a few kids who were walking literal miles back up the mountain after coming down with horses to pick up supplies for their parents. We gravitated towards each other and they became our guides and friends!

Not a bad view along the way eh?

The pass was covered in quite a bit of snow…which means we went quite a bit higher than this πŸ™‚

After gorgeous gorges that look much like a mini Grand Canyon, we decided to hike the riverbed.

After hours of walking down a riverbed we found this little oasis surrounded by dried up river…

So obviously we decided to camp out…thought about night hiking it out of there but decided to wait until later for that hike πŸ™‚

We're almost back to the elevation we started at but the surroundings were much different than the other side of the range.

Well, there's a few snapshots for ya. There's more on facebook πŸ™‚
