Sorry if Ive been keeping anyone waiting on blogs. Internet here is scarce lol.
So our whole squad spent about a week in Antigua, Guatemala, and it was awesome! It’s a beautiful place and I def. think Ill go back someday. While there I was def. able to get closer to some members of my squad.

One day there was my “day to shine” per say lol. Everyone was complimenting me and really just pouring into me, and later that night our squad leader Mike called me up to pray for me in front of the whole squad, and it just meant so much. I def. felt appreciated. So I thank you Mike, Stacey and the rest of B-squad!

Now I’m in Los Robles Guatemala at Casa de Sion where my team and I are serving, and it was ridiculous how we got here. The first bus from Antigua dropped us off literally in the middle of the highway and said we had to take another bus cause the roads were washed out. So after talking to people at this sketchy place we eventually got a small Toyota pickup to take us the rest of the way…with no crew cab or anything…and it was raining. So 6 of piled in the back of this little pick-up with our packs and sped around these wet, windy Guatemalan roads. It was an adventure for sure lol. Aside from that though,  It has Its honestly been a struggle for me here and I’m not sure why. I want to be open with everyone. It has been hard to do anything for us because up until today, it has been raining EVERY day, some days aaaaall day long. Today was the first day of sunlight! And I got a slight burn on my neck….and I’m happy lol. A couple of days ago we’ve been really starting to do work and build gaviones’, which are water barriers of fence filled with boulders that disperse water evenly so the property isn’t ruined. And they are def. a lot of work having to build the fence housings for the boulders/rocks. But it felt so good today to work in the sun. We’ve also got all the children’s shoe sizes at the school so we can give them all new shoes. Other then that we’ve only been doing a couple things here and there, it’s hard to get a lot done with so much rain.

Last weekend we went to Panajachel, which was another somewhat tourist city, and it was great. The day we got there we met a couple who lived there and are from the states, and they brought us in and made us dinner, coffee, tea, and let us use their internet and phones. We all actually really connected with them, and they as well as us were so so happy to have met them. This weekend actually we’re going back to Pana to go zip-lining through the jungle and I’m quite pumped for that.

I’ll be posting another blog soon about Erwin. He is a boy that lives here who I’ve really been connecting with and he’s awesome. So be lookin for it!

Also ill post pics soon! its to slow to load any!
