So I am definitely not the greatest at this whole blogging thing.  I mean, its been over a month since I last posted anything.  I guess thats mainly because of school starting back up.  This semester started with a huge bang and I mean that in every sense of the word bang.

At first I was simply enduring the semester and not really enjoying myself with everything that I have to do, but then I realized that we are called to persevere, not just to endure, but to persevere through our Christian walk.  What brought on that realization was a devotion I was reading by Oswald Chambers.  That particular devotion was entitled "The Discipline of Spiritual Perseverance." In it, Chambers draws the distinction between the two, that endurance is simply hanging on and doing nothing, where perseverance is hanging on, but it also has the assurance that "what we are looking for is going to happen."  I have to confess that I have simply been hanging on and enduring these past couple of weeks instead of realizing who God is and what He really means to me.  Those two reasons are enough to make me persevere instead of endure.

What about you?

We know that God is our Creator and Savior and that nothing can conquer Him and that nothing will ever separate us from His love.

I have chosen to persevere by the power of Christ that is in me and to stand in His truth (which is not something that just hangs on :))  Will you do the same?
