So this past weekend, I attended Passion in Fort Worth.  The weekend was simply amazing and God really showed up and showed out while we were there.  I went simply wanting to seek God and grow in my relationship with Him, but I got so much more than that.  I mean, its not about me getting blessings from Him or anything, but you guys know what I mean.

So to begin with, I have somewhat been running from something God was trying to get me to see for several months.  I had surrendered to the Race, really it wasn't that much of a surrender and thats because I was still coming back to comfortable America after that.  Granted I knew that I would be changed beyond degree on the Race, but I still had the assurance of that.  As much as I would love to say that I love being uncomfortable and love suffering for Christ, who can say that until they have experienced that?

Anyways, back to Passion.  On Saturday afternoon, the session was a presentation on the Koso people.  Now, that is a pseudonym for a people group in Mali.  They use a fake name because of security reasons.  This people group has only about 12 believers from a total of 500,000 people.  This is what is known as an unreached people group, which is defined as being a people group having less than 2% of its populace being believers.  They showed a video with an interview of one of the believers and talked about them.  They have not even had the Bible translated into their language yet.  Which, by the way was a goal of our weekend to raise $220,000 for the translation of 90 passages of the Bible into their language, and we collected $227,000 in two hours.

I'm rambling again….  When they were talking about this, the question came to my mind, "God, is this what you want me to do?"  I used to ask this question all the time, but I hadn't in a few months.  When this question came into my mind, Louie Giglio says, "I know some of you are being called to go to unreached people groups…."  When he said this, I was completely overcome with the Spirit.  I mean, it just completely slammed me and I could feel what God wanted me to do.

At the end of the presentation, we prayed for three things:  that the funds would be released, the Koso people themselves, and those who are called.  When we prayed for those who are called to go to unreached groups, Louie asked that those who feel they are called to raise their hands.  I couldn't keep my hand down.  I had to raise it because I knew what God was telling me in my Spirit.  When I said yes to Him, there was so much freedom that flooded my soul, I cannot even describe it.

Now, I always tell people that I'm worse than Thomas when it comes to doubting, so of course I want solid confirmation from the Word.  The next day, I did Kneel.  This was a 10 station prayer journey that they had set up in a secluded area of the convention center.  The first two stations are about preparing yourself for prayer.  Stations 3-8 are praying for different things: campus, city where Passion was, people at Passion, others in your life, the Nations, and our government, but in a different order.  Number 9 was simply being still and being in God's presence.  Station 10 was seeking God's will for your life and where He wants you in the Gospel ministry.  Where He wants you in terms of your part in spreading the Gospel.

When I got to the last station, after I had prayed, I opened my Bible and it opened to John 20 where Jesus appears to Thomas, go figure 🙂  When I read, "Reach here with your finger, and see My hands;  and reach here your hand and put it into my side;  and do not be unbelieving, but believing,"  I was floored and I knew that God was telling me to believe in Him and in the calling He had given me the day before.

So all that being said, I just wanted to share with all those who have been reading this blog what God has done in me.  I just wanted to share!!!!!
