Hey! Thanks for visiting my World Race Blog!
Its going to be a long, hard road to making my way over seas in September, 2014 to:
Haiti, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
I am very excited to see how God will use this to not only change and shape me into the person he wants to me be, but how he will use these experiences in my life in the future. We see poverty in America and think of how bad things are, but we forget about the parts of the world that live in extreme poverty. People living on the streets, people being malnourished and even dying.
I do not think i would be going to far in saying that a majority of Americans have never experienced, or can even really understand what it is like to live in a third world country in poverty. To live in places where natural disasters cause mass destruction but there is no government with money enough to bail them out or provide for the people.
As Americans, especially in my generation, we take these things for granted without ever a thought for those people in other countries.
To live along side these people with not much else besides the clothes on my back, experiencing their discomfort and joining them in the work they do will be unbelievably life changing.
I realize that people do not have the opportunity to go and travel to these places. I want to be able to come back having experiences and relationships made that will show those i interact with how real and powerful God is. To see the way the natives lives are changed as well as ours will be an amazing way to share the gospel not only there, but also in America.
I realize i cannot do this alone.
I do not have the funds to do this alone. But I also know that without others to spread the word of the things i experience, I would be cheating myself.
I realize that not everyone can spend an entire year of their life traveling the world to experience these things.
I want to connect with you and not just come back and tell you what is going on, but constantly be sharing my time there with you.
I ask that you please consider supporting me in this quest that i am undertaking. Not only for my benefit, but for your own benefit also. Along with the long term benefit of many others and most importantly, the glorification of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
