Hello hello!
Time is coming to an end here for us in Vietnam and the long 14hr bus ride to Cambodia is sneaking up around the corner.
Teaching english classes and partaking in discussions has been our primary method of giving and ministry during our time here. Nothing glamorous, nothing heroic yet important and appreciated by any and all those we talked with.
The month has shown me how the simplest of actions can mean and bring so much light to someone’s life. It doesn’t have to be something tangible, creditable or photo worthy to be important and impactful in this world. Sometimes I get caught up wanting to be the next big world changer and only imagine ‘Hollywood’ish” ministry opportunities or life changes/impacts as a result of what I do.
That’s becoming not the case anymore however; a world changing moment has the potential for being as simple as sharing a conversation with a person, being fully present and joyful with every circumstance you have and walking in hope for the best to be made of your every daily interactions. I’m fine with that now and actually really enjoy it and from that have come to really enjoy my time here in Nam.
On that note, here are a few videos from our time here in Vietnam. The 1st is a culture and ministry video, 2nd is our time as guys getting away for the last weekend here in Vietnam to the mountains of Dalat. Despite being completely underprepared for the cold weather to be had, it was a beautiful trip and a blessing of an escape from the HUGE city we have been in this month.
The 3rd video isn’t for the faint at heart, hehe. It’s what happens when you reunite a forest/nature dweller with his native habitat after months of not being in it!!
Enjoy!
