Nine! What?! Only nine! That is how many days I have left before I am back in the states. Such a short amount of time before I am back in Missouri with my family and friends and the race will only be a beautiful memory. It’s so crazy to think of how quickly this year has flown by. There have been moments where I wasn’t sure if I would make it for eleven months. Constant community proved to be more than I had bargained for but in the end it was well worth it! I would do it all over again, that is how much this past year has meant to me.

Teams Alegria, Radical and Warriors together for our first month of ministry in Puerto Rico.

God has refined me so much over this past year and it hasn’t always been easy. It has hurt more than I expected it would. Yet, I am beyond grateful for the process that he has taken me through. For the three teams that I have had the privilege of being a part of, I have learned something from each team, each person and have grown to love each of them dearly.

 My first team:

Team Alegria: (starting at top left: Isa, TJ, Karli, Lydia and Casey)

My second team:

Team Girasoles: (from left to right) Cassandra, Sandra, Sabrina, Liv, Lydia and Christina

My third team:

Team Pursuit: (from left to right) Brianna Thomas, Lesa, Laura, Crystal, Jaide, Brianna Lomas

This month we are working with GO! Ministries in Xenacoj, Guatemala. There are 3 teams together this month. We are visiting orphans and widows in Xenacoj and Santa Maria. We have had a wonderful month. God is doing incredible things in the hearts of the widows and He is blessing this ministry to meet the needs of these women and children.

One of the current projects of GO! Ministries is to bring Christmas to 7,000 kids.

There are two ways that you can help out. First, you could write a check for $25 to GO! Ministries, David Sgro, 439 Westwood SC PMB #138, Fayetteville, NC or visit www.goministries.info and give through Paypal. Secondly, you could fill up a shoe box with the items given on the website and drop it in the mail to the address above, with a check for $10. A shoe box will be for 5 children. The items given in the shoe boxes will be distributed in the “christmas bags”.

They can’t do this alone. They need your help because every child deserves a Christmas.

I can’t wait to see you all and share the incredible stories of what God has done over this past year.

Thank you for all of your love and support.
