As training camp quickly approaches, I find myself getting caught up in the HUGE list of things I still need to do. But before I completely freak out, I'm reminded that God is in the details! My pastor preached a message with this title a few weeks ago. It was something that has resonated with me and I wanted to blog about it. So here are some of my favorite things from his sermon.

We get stressed when DETAILS of fulfilling a dream cloud our perception of the dream. God is in the DETAILS. God wants to use the DETAILS of your life to grow you into the person you were created to be. With God, those same DETAILS that are pulling you down, can lift you to the place you were meant to be. God loves to use the DETAILS of your life to paint the masterpiece of your divine purpose. They are a chance for you to grow and to advance. They are a chance for you to develop faith and trust Him. They are a chance for you to become more like Christ. God develops no one overnight. His process and His promotions take time. Small dreams = short journeys. Big dreams = long journeys. Small dreamers like uncomplicated lives with very few DETAILS. Big dreamers embrace complication because they know God is in the DETAILS.

I walked out of that sermon asking God to make me a BIG DREAMER. I want to embrace complication because I know, I trust, and I believe that God is in the DETAILS. I rest in the truth that I serve a God who knows how many hairs are on my head, who knit me together in my mother's womb, and who has called me for such a time as this.

So as the first financial deadline approaches, $3,000 due on September 28th, I have decided to give those DETAILS to God. He knows and He will provide. Not just for me, but for every person on my squad. Not just our finances but also the rest of the things we'll need for this journey.

I would like to thank all of my financial supporters! This race wouldn't be possible without your generosity.
