Dear Friends and Family of Benita,
My name is Lydia and I have had the honor of living and serving with Benita for the past 6 months and I hope we will continue to be teammates for the entire 11. As you have most likely begun to understand through Benita’s blog posts, the World Race is not some normal mission trip, it’s an incredible journey as well. The Lord uses it to completely change your perspective of Him. He flashes a mirror in front of your face, so that we are able to see all the disfunction and dirt in our lives that wasn’t instilled in us by Him. He sheds light on those things he wants you to change, then he shows you how to change. It’s a constant cycle of refinement which changes us in so many ways. Because of the work that God has done in Benita’s life in the past 6 months, she has changed. I have seen the hard, challenging moments of her Race and the fun, joyous times and through them all she has grown. I know that the friendship that we have built will last for years, yet we are only half-way through the Race. For those of you who have invested in her financially and prayerfully, thank you! I encourage you all to either continue to donate if you can or pass the word. Benita needs to finish out the 11 months and God has so much more for her here. I know that God will provide the funds, but I ask you to be part of it. If not financially, please be on your knees for funds and for the Lord’s will for her life. She has a beautiful heart and spirit. You are investing in that.
