Dear God,
I pray that you would make me strong, break me down to nothing, and build me back up in your name. Destroy my expectations and my worldview, shatter everything I thought I knew about you and about your children. Flow into me and through me to the people I meet. Let me spread your love and goodness through every single interaction I have, and let the world see that I am yours. When the evil one comes to break me, to tear me away from you let me lean on you and my brothers and sisters. Give me the wisdom to know that I cannot do this alone. That I need you. Make me patient, make me kind, make me gentle. Allow me to grow and to find what it is that you want for me. Let my temptations not overcome me, do not let me drown in my sin, and collapse under the weight of my guilt. Let a fire be lit underneath me, let it fuel me to be a better man, better brother, better friend. Dear God help me.
