I love cooking so I’m gonna write a blog about it. Mmm In cooking, heat takes things that are inedible or unusable and makes something delicious. Take chicken mmm, when raw, its gross mmm, and will probably make you sick. But add some spices, a little salt and pepper and a flame, and mmm you have something yummy. Much like the fire of God purifies us, takes us from a sinful, disgusting state and makes us usable, makes us whole. That fire is his love, its the trials we experience, its hard times, its every time we get knocked down and refuse to stay down. The fire is what makes us clean mmm, it makes us whole mmm, it makes us Gods people mmm. Add in His gifts and blessing (the spices mmm) and you have a person that is whole. But this can only happen with God, with heat. It also represents community, one piece of chicken mmm, does not a meal make. One side does not make a meal. A drink does not make a meal. One person alone is not living to God’s request, He tells us to live in community, and everyone brings something to the table. A roast chicken mmm, mashed potatoes mmm, mac and cheese mmm, and a nice lemonade mmm, that is a mmm meal. A community of people with different giftings, service here, a dash of prophecy there mmm, and a voice to worship, these are the things that make a whole community.
So get cooking and get with people
