This trip is the first time I have consistently heard the voice of the Lord in my life. When we talk to God, we tend to do most of the talking, we don’t leave time for Him to speak. A conversation involves more than one voice, we need to leave Him time to speak, we cannot complain about not hearing when we don’t listen. This trip I have purposefully given myself times of complete silence and solitude to listen for the Lord. And I’ve heard Him speak incredible things over my life. He’s spoken into my biggest issues, and biggest fears, He has given me courage and strength to face each days challenges. God is alive and well, and He longs for us to let Him speak, through our own selves and His inspired word. God sees and hears our cries, we just have to pause and listen for His reply. I’ve started taking prayer walks around our ministry site, and just focusing on listening for replies to my questions. He’s led me through many trials and held my hand through it all. He is our father and He will not throw us trials without giving us the tools to survive.
