UPDATE: Thank you to everyone! You have blessed me beyond what I could imagine or could ever deserve! My account for the WorldRace is now fully funded. In just the past week, you helped me raise enough to fully fund my account and in total, raise over 20% of what our squad has remaining to fundraise. Praise Him! Rejoice!

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you to so many of you who have wished me a happy birthday! This is the first of a different kind of birthday since I am away from many of you whom I love. The past few years, I have wanted my birthday to be just another day in my life, more or less, instead of any big event.

This birthday I do have a request, though, and I don?t like asking things of others, but I?m getting better at it. My fundraising account is still about $1600 away from being fully supported. At the beginning of July, the final deadline was moved to August 1st, and our squad is now less than $20,000 away from being fully funded.

My 25th birthday wish is that our squad is fully funded by the deadline. The cool thing about this request is that for the next $1000 raised to my account, another $1000 will bless one of the 38 other racers on my squad. Whatever you give, whether 25 cents or 25 dollars, will also benefit someone else! The last time I asked for support, you helped raise well over $2000 in about 3 days. Woah! Click her to support me.

Last year I celebrated my birthday by going to dinner with some friends, many of whom I had just returned from a mission trip to Haiti with a day earlier. Those who did not know me guessed if I was an elementary school teacher, P.E. coach, or children?s pastor instead of the 8 to 5 o?clock desk ridden, computer staring, and restless insurance processor with training in accounting. It was the Lord?s voice speaking though them that encouraged me to pursue this year of ministry.

This year, I will celebrate my birthday by seeing our squad fully funded. Thanks for investing in me by reading my blog!
