1. My favorite color is green.
2. I am a native Floridian. I’ve lived here all my life.
3. I’m about 6’4” depending on what kind of shoes I’m wearing.
4. Sometimes I communicate through movie quotes.
5. When it comes to movies, I love comedies. (Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler etc.)
6. My favorite movie of all time is ‘The Godfather.’
7. I love college football. Hopefully we’ll be able to watch at least a few games while we’re on the Race.
8. I have a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
9. I am a recovering “Frat Boy.”
10. I like ALL kinds of music. When I say ALL, I really mean it. You will probably laugh when you see my iTunes library.
11. I have absolutely no talent or natural ability when it comes to playing musical instruments.
12. I like to sing karaoke, but sometimes I’ll just start singing along with random songs in random places. I don’t need a stage, or a microphone, or even a socially acceptable situation.
13. I like to dance sometimes, even though I lack any sense of rhythm.
14. I’m more of a dog person than a cat person. Cats are cool and all, just not as cool as dogs.
15. I’ve broken my left arm, twice. Once playing flag football.
16. I am totally a hot-natured person.
17. I’m a pretty decent cook.
18. I love spicy food.
19. My favorite food of all time is spaghetti and meat sauce.
20. I’m just beginning to enjoy/become addicted to coffee.
21. I am excited about the new/weird/scary food that we may encounter on the WR.
22. I am seriously considering not packing a razor for the race and seeing just how epic of a beard I can grow.
23. The country that I’m most looking forward to is India.
24. I’m a little nervous at how ‘O.K.’ I am with the possibility of not showering for days on end.
25. I’m still not sure how I feel about being called a “missionary.” I don’t know why.
26. I’ve been on mission trips and I’ve traveled out of the county, but I’ve never been on an international mission trip.
27. I like camping as much as the next guy. I mean sleeping/living outside in nature is cool for short periods of time. However, I still don’t know how I feel about the possibility of living in a tent for a whole month. Just being honest.
28. Of all my material possessions that I can’t take with me on the Race, I think that I’m going to miss my bed the most. I really like my bed.
29. When it comes to packing for any trip, I usually just throw everything that I think I could possibly need into my suitcase/car. Packing for 11 months in two backpacks is going to be rough.
30. I have a tendency to be completely random with my thoughts. (i.e. the organization of this list)
31. I’m a pretty humble person I think, so writing 50 things about myself is kind of weird/difficult.
32. I am terrible at remembering names, but I can almost always remember a face.
33. I like to pretend that I can speak Spanish (6 years of classes and I can barely ask where the bathroom is).
34. I have to coolest roommates ever. I love them so much, and not just because they’re my parents.
35. I have a strange sort of phobia when it comes to eyes. I cannot watch people put in contacts or even think about touching eyes without my own eyes twitching like crazy. I have no idea where that came from, but it is legit.
36. Instead of having inside jokes, some friends and I have come-up with inside hand signals. They are super convenient.
37. Reality TV is just awful.
38. Messy but clean is ok in my book.
39. Wow…. 50? Really? How about 39?
40. I gave up soda last year for Lent and haven’t even wanted to go back to it. I’ve had all of three sodas since then.
41. I love smiling… smiling is my favorite!
42. I sunk my car when I was 16. Yes, sunk, as in underwater. It’s cool though, it dried out.
43. I’ve had two sets of braces.
44. I am a huge fan of Apple. Their stuff just works….. marvelously.
45. I’ve just started to get into kayaking. It’s awesome.
46. I wish I had more time to read fiction.
47. I’ve re-shingled 7 roofs in the last 4 years, and I plan to do at least one more the week before training camp.
48. For the most part, I am not a morning person.
49. My guilty pleasure is a Chinese buffet. They’re so bad but they’re so good.
And the most random fact about me….. like if there was a contest for the most random personal fact of all time, this is the one I would enter with…..
50. I am a member of the 1999, Jinks Middle School, Championship Square Dancing Team. I even have a trophy.
