Context: I was sitting outside the building that I am living in one night and I was about to open my journal when I noticed a glow shimmering off of the brown leather. I looked up to see the moon shining so fully and purely. A once ordinary sight that I had gotten extremely used to in my life became completely transformed. I opened my gleaming journal to the next blank page and wrote this:
i pray that we understand your power: that when we see your moon we realize that literally nothing can beat that. as long as i see your moon glow… i will understand that your incomprehensible strength & power is over us.
Flash forward to two nights later and three of the most incredible things are happening here in Cambodia with the moon. The last time all three of these things happened was 150 years ago. On this night January 31, 2018, there is a lunar eclipse… but not just a lunar eclipse, it’s an eclipse with a hunters’ moon that THEN turns into a blue moon.
Somehow I am placed in the perfect spot at the perfect time, to see a glimpse of our creator’s little masterpieces… and let me tell you, I am left in awe every time.
