We have found a little piece of the Kingdom here in Thailand. One of the students from our school reached out to us and informed us that she is a Christian. She invited us to her church this past Sunday. When we got there, we had no idea what it would consist of. Jesus has definitely put his mark there on that ground. It is a church that has a bible study program and a home for the children to live. This little place also has farm land where they grow mangos, lemons, oranges, bananas, and coffee. They also own 500 chickens and are starting to breed grasshoppers (those are a crunchy snack here in Thailand). The most incredible part is that they have taken in the children from the hill tribes up in the mountains. Once those children have been equipped with the knowledge and strength of the Lord they are sent back into their villages where they have been transforming the whole tribe into believers. That is the whole purpose of what we as Christians are living to do. The children there are so much braver than I have ever been. It is easy where I am from to be Christian because I come from the Bible belt of America… but these kids are just incredible. They have enough courage to stand up and search for their one true God in a place full of Buddhist temples and statues at every corner.
We are now coming into the month of December which is an extremely busy time here as it is in America. And I have one Christmas wish from my supporters. Y’all were so extremely generous during my entire fundraising process. There are two girls on my team that are still in this process and need the love that was shown to me in order to stay on this race. They need to reach $15,000 by December 21 and with your help they can get there. In this season of joy help us here in Thailand by giving a little bit to aid them in reaching their goal. To get to their blogs you can scroll down on this blog page and look to the left. There you will see pictures of my team members. Click on either name: Clare Murphy or Laura Gúzman and there you can donate on their blogs.
MONTH 4 is starting and I can officially say I am used to being a foreigner now. I am sending all of my love across the seas to my friends and family during this holiday season. XOXO, Bella.
