Recently I have been asking God to help me see Him throughout the day. Help me notice the little things that He plants to make me smile and bring joy. One Thursday was just like any other with the same routine of waking up and going to teach English but for some reason I spotted Him everywhere. His little presents throughout that day made it one of the best I have had thus far on the race.
The little things…
- Sunshine on my back in the morning watching the fish swim in the pond.
- Talking to Brody on the phone after he got dinner with my family.
- Teaching students about Christmas: sharing the Christmas story, cutting out snowflakes, doing a crossword puzzle, and listening to Christmas music through the loud speaker.
- Leader Allie slid me a KitKat candy bar across the lunch table.
- Played pick-up soccer randomly with a bunch of Thai kids.
- To end the night, I sat on the roof of our little house and saw six shooting stars. I have only seen four in my lifetime so to see that many in one night was incredible.
