Hi everyone!

My name is Bella, and I am so excited to get to tell you about God’s work both in my life and the lives of those I will soon meet through this blog! This summer, I will get to be a part of a month-long mission trip to Costa Rica.

After graduation, I will get to travel internationally for the first time (!!) to serve Spanish-speaking communities in need. If we’ve met before, chances are you’ve heard me talk about God, Immigration, Spanish, service, or travel.

Through much prayer and waiting, I am ecstatic to get to spend some time spreading His love where my heart is. With goals to one day become an Immigration Attorney, this fall I will begin working on a degree in International Business and Management with a Spanish minor. As I head into the next four years of college, I know God will use this month to remind me of the people and the places that make up my reasons for pursuing higher education.

And while His plans for my future will always be beyond my control, I can rest assured that His blessings are abundant. I may not understand where or how I will make a difference, but I know he gives us our passions and gifts for a unique purpose, which I plan to pursue as best I can.

Throughout my life, I have been blessed with several opportunities to serve in my community through my school, church, and family. But I never stopped wondering how little old me would get out of this tiny town and make the impact that “changes the world”. As He always does, God answered the cry of my heart and assured me that even now, even here, is ministry. Who I am is not what I do, but rather who He says I am  – a Child of the One True King is what defines me.

Jeremiah 33:3 tells us that when we call to Him, He reveals great and unsearchable things that we do not yet know. This Semesters trip is my “great and unsearchable thing” – beyond my wildest dreams and far more than anything I could create on my own. I am eternally grateful to serve a God who calls us lovingly into His plan.

So to you, who supports me either through prayers or funds or simply by listening to this story; thank you! This journey would not be possible without your encouragement. The gifts you give will be used to influence hearts and minds in communities that desperately need love. I am so grateful to be the hands and feet of this work that is made complete because of our great God who works through people like us.

If you have any questions about the trip, funding, or anything in between – please feel free to comment below:) I look forward to sharing this season with you here!
