“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, “do not fear, I will help you.” -Isaiah 41:13
India is so amazing! Our squad landed in this beautiful country on August 10th. Each squad launching in August met in Atlanta, Georgia to spend time with the Lord together and train to enter the mission field the week before we launched! It was so sweet to see everyone and celebrate! Our mentors shared with us the vision the Lord gave them for our squad! It was the two words, “one thing” with the verse Psalm 27. I am so amazed how God speaks to each of us so intimatlely!
On August 7th, each team headed to the airport to fly to their first country! I am so encouraged by all the people on each squad! Everyone is so amazing and has so much love and passion from and for the Lord! Our team shared our thoughts and emotions with each other as we waited to fly to India and a combination of excitement and fear filled each of us. Thoughts of how long it will be before being home with our loved ones, fear of the unknown, fear of harm, fear of sickness, fear of scary situations, lots of fears! My teammate and dear friend perfectly explained how the good news of Jesus and being able to share with people around the world who may have not had the chance to hear and experience God’s love is so worth being scared for and being in heart ache for. Isaiah 41:13 is so encouraging! I love that God really does grab hold of our hand and leads the way as we follow his lead, all in his power!
Once we arrived at our gate at the airport, the announcement came in that our flight to Qatar was cancelled. God is so faithful and it was so amazing to see all the things he did in the 24 hour of extra time in Atlanta! One of our teammates bags didn’t arrive at the baggage claim and it led to lots of prayers, laughter and play as we waited, and amazing people we got to meet and pray with! Our squad joined hands to pray for our teammates bags and a woman who worked at the airport came and joined hands with us and prayed for us! We also got to pray with a man who drove the bus and a man who helped us with our bags! It was many hours in the airport and it was such a special time! I will always remember that! ๐ The next day, our teamates bags arrived by a woman who worked at the airport and our teamate and the woman prayed together for healing! It was so amazing to see God’s perfect timing and faithfulness!
On August 10th, we arrived in beautiful India! It is so colorful and full of vibrant life! The people are so beautiful as well as the sights! Curry is eaten at about every meal with our right hands! Chai is a heavenly drink, so delicious! ๐ Our team is currently in a city in Southern India and is heading to a village where we will be partnering with a local church and his family for one month! I am so excited to see what God is already doing in this place and see how we can partner and serve them while we are here! Thank you so much for reading about our mission! That means the world to me! God bless! ๐
