A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
At once Jesus realized that power went out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered,” and yet you ask, “Who touched me?”
But Jesus kept looking around to see who had touched him. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling, with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
This woman had a seemingly incurable condition causing her to bleed constantly. According to Jewish law, anyone who touched her would become unclean too. Jesus displayed his mighty power and his overflowing compassion for her.
Jesus displays this power and compassion today and forever in every corner of the earth! A miracle happened this week in Rwanda! At church, an elderly woman was carried into church by two men and her daughter with her baby. This woman had not been able to walk in five years and had suffered as the woman in the story did. After lots of prayers for healing, deliverance, and anointing, the woman and her loved ones waited until the very final moment. She was carried forward and prayed for. During the prayer, the woman gained strength in her legs and arms and raised her arms and began taking steps in place with her legs! One touch of Jesus has healed her!
“Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” She shared with so much joy! God healed her! Loved ones and the church jumped up and down and sang for joy! Then the woman danced in place and walked her way down the aisle! How amazing is God! Our great redeemer! Another woman, was delivered from an evil spirit that morning and began dancing as she walked by! What a beautiful moment! Today, she danced and walked all around at church!
This month, we are in Rwanda and it is so beautiful! Our team, Bloom, is so blessed to be with Pastor Vanessia and Pastor Innocent, our Rwandan Mom and Dad and their children! We adore the village area and the friends here!
They have seven churches in the area and pastor at two of them each day. Pastor Vanessia had a dream from God to start a nursery school at her church to provide education to the children in the area who are not able to pay the school fees needed to attend school.
The children are so amazing! We are so blessed to teach there each day! The church is incredible and our team got to join the choir! African music, dancing, and singing is so beautiful! A sound that is so heavenly and fun! The team and our church will be on national Rwandan television this Saturday evening! The church is viewed on television every Saturday!
In the evenings, our team goes around the village to spend time with the students and their families, share the gospel, pray, and make friends! Our new friends came to church this week! As well as build a home and share messages in the churches! This family is currently renting a home and the original owner would like to move back in. The family has begun building a home by Pastor Innocent’s church. The time to move in will be in fifteen days. With great faith, this family began the project of their new home without knowing when it would be completed and where the finances would come from.
With peace in their hearts, they have great faith that God will provide all that they need to go to their new home in fifteen days. What is so amazing is that they trusted God for the funds to complete their home with a roof and windows by the fifteen day mark. My friend and teammate called her family and the funds will be sent to the family! God is so amazing!
Thank you so much for reading! It is so special that you are following this journey! Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙂
