Hola mis hermanos y hermanas! Estamos en Bolivia! There are so many stories and moments I am so excited to share about from here in Bolivia! It is so beautiful here! It is the eighth month of this adventure! This month, I am reflecting on how beautiful it has been, all the beautiful people and God’ miracles.

There are so many stories and miracles from last month in Rwanda that I am so excited to share about!

This is one amazing boy! Yohanna is playful, sweet, strong, and loving. One day at church, one of our teams became friends with Yohanna. They quickly noticed the deep infection on his leg from an animal bite that he had tried to re-wrap with an old bandage. They asked the church who his family was and they met his mother. The team asked if they may send him to the city to the hospital for treatment and she agreed with thankfulness.

Yohanna went to the hospital in Kigali with one of the teammates, Kyle. Yohanna began receiving treatment each week and the infection improved greatly! The treatment came at the perfect moment because the infection was soon to reach his blood stream. Yohanna had trained himself to walk with a big stick for stability and received crutches from the hospital.

Fatier, a woman from Uganda who cares for the community welcomed Yohanna to come stay at her home where our teams stayed too! He will be staying there for 18 months through all his treatments leading up to surgery.

This is Yohanna’s Mom! She is so strong and joyful. Yohanna’s Mom shared one room with five family members. The family slept on the floor together. When Yohanna received medical care, the team wanted to provide a new home, medical insurance, meals, school fees for both children, and a neighborhood nearby the school. The team reached out to loved ones for donations and God provided in abundance! During our teams week there, we got so blessed to see all of the miracles come together!

This is Yohanna’s families new home! Complete with three bedrooms, meals, insurance, school fees, beds with bedding, and right down the road from school! Before this, the children had not received education because the school fees were out of reach financially. Once Yohanna is all healed after surgery, he will go to school for the very first time! His sister has begun school! It was so beautiful to move the family in!

This is Mom and Dad Africa! Our amazing Rwandan family! This is their new home! God provided in abundance through donations for the completion of their home! When they needed only a little bit more funds to complete their home, God provided in abundance! During my teammates and I’s week with Yohanna and Fatier, our teammates and their families delivered the funds in a cooking pot and Mom Africa was so thankful for even the pot as a gift. When she opened it and saw the funds, she fell on her knees at her new home and thanked God as her tears fell. It was a beautiful moment for everybody!

Rwanda was a beautiful and heartwarming month! I loved it so much! God really showed his power and his compassion. God showed me how one person can truly change lives when following His lead. I am so honored to be on this adventure with such compassionate teammates and beautiful friends around the world! God is so amazing! Thank you so much for reading, for encouragement, and for helping bring all of this to life! I am so excited to share about South America coming up next!
