Generally, I’ve been really healthy on the Race. (All praise to The Lord.) He’s kept a lot of sickness that could have attacked my body at bay. And I’m so thankful.

But when it does hit, it’s really not that fun.
This past week was my third time of being sick on the Race. And it ugly. But it ended up being a blessing and a way The Lord spoke to my team.
Let me share the story.

So my team is on Unsung Heroes Ministry this month. We’re seeking out people who are doing kingdom work and who love Jesus. And we’re wanting to hear their stories, get to know them, and see if they would be interested in partnering with AIM.
The other day, my team was contemplating our first “big” move to another city. We went to bed that night thinking we would be getting up in the morning, packing our stuff and then getting on a bus to the city.
But that night I went to bed with a stomach ache. I didn’t think much of it. I just thought it was a really bad stomach ache.
Well I woke up in the middle of the night–and I started getting sick. It lasted all through the night. I couldn’t sleep.
So when my team woke up in the morning and saw me, Acacia knew I wasn’t in a state where I could make the move, so we decided that only half the team would move to the city, while the rest of us stayed put another night.
Later that day, I was feeling pretty much completely better–just really tired from the lack of sleep. But the team was getting ready to go, and it started pouring.
At that point it was kinda clear that The Lord wanted us all to stay together where we were for another night.
The next morning we all got up thinking we were going to one city.
And after praying and seeking The Lord, our team discerned that the Spirit was leading us somewhere else. So we packed up. And we bussed our way to the city The Lord was calling us to. He led us to a hostel that was within our budget! (Like we knew He would.)

So I don’t know. It’s just really cool to know that The Lord has his hand on us. And He is able to speak to us in all things–including sickness–to make His plan known to us.
