He’s Romancing Me

The other morning, my alarm went off at 6:31, but I wasn’t quite ready to get out of bed. So I just laid there, chatting with The Lord about my dreams I had that night. And it was almost as if someone pulled my eyes open a couple minutes later, because there was something I just had to see.
And right before my eyes, the red moon was rising above the treetops. And I heard a whisper saying, “This.”
I knew that moment was a gift from my Lover.
I got up out of bed and went to the rooftop so I could see it better.
That red moon was more than beautiful. But there are no words to describe it.
All I could do was stand in awe of the beauty right before me and recognize that God didn’t have to open my eyes to see the red moon rising. But he did it as an extra special gift for me.

Moments like the red moon rising happen more often than I say or sometimes recognize. The Lord romances me in so many ways. From a verse that speaks to my heart to a rainbow in the sky to a rainstorm that shakes the walls when thunder booms. He knows me inside and out, and He knows exactly what thrills my heart. (He even gives me gifts of sending me and a friend to have a day at a theme park where we can ride coaster after coaster with little to no wait.)

The Lord is constantly reminding me of my beauty. He’s showing me how crazy He is about me. He’s romancing me from the inside out.
And all I can say is that I’m thankful and humbled.
And I’m falling more in love with the Almighty every day.
