“Congratulations!

Today is your day.

You’re off to Great Places!

You’re off and away!”

**DISCLAIMER : If you are unfamiliar with the Dr. Seuss classic “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, I highly encourage you to minimize this tab and Google it immediately — both for the purpose of understanding this blog, but more importantly, your inner seven-year-old self will be immensely entertained!

After months of anticipation, thousands of dollars raised (thanks to the INSANE generosity of our supporters), and countless prayers prayed… 250 World Racers are about to embark on the most epic adventure of a lifetime… + I am one of them!

As our launch date drew closer, I couldn’t help but think of one of my favorite childhood books, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss. Although living out of a backpack for 11 months might call into question whether or not we do in fact “have brains in our head” — I found so many parallels in the book that resonated with me in regards to my upcoming adventure!

The book whimsically speaks to the highs and lows we are so sure to face this next year, but at the end of the day Suess proclaims : “KID, YOU”LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!” — which is exactly what we are setting out to do. Through the love of Jesus, we WILL move mountains. I am beyond excited to see how the Lord moves in + through our lives as we take this step out into the unknown in hopes to  share love across the nations.

The final line of the book reads :                                                              “Your mountain is waiting. So… get on your way!”

Well, Mister Dr. Seuss, Sir… to that I say : South Africa, Botswana, Madagascar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Nicuragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala — HERE WE COME!!!!

Oh the Places WE’LL Go, indeed
