I finished squad leading the World Race at the end of May. It was an incredible season that God grew me and stretched me even more than He did when I was on the World Race myself.
He taught be about my identity in Him and more about what it looks like to walk confidently in who Jesus made me, His daughter. He taught me boldness. When He gives us discernment, we become responsible for what we see. This can be challenging but I am learning the beauty of truth and calling each other to look more like Christ.
After all this learning and fun with C-Squad, the Lord called me to Thailand. But first, quick story on how much Jesus loves me.
I ended squad leading in Europe so I went on vacation with my awesome co-leaders, Jeff and Alyssa Peck. We found these awesome cheap flights and great cheap hostels so we went to Venice, Barcelona, Rome and Athens. It was an incredible trip and I am so glad I got to spend that time with Jeff and Alyssa.
Our last day, we were talking about Bucket Lists. I have one and I was able to check a few things off from the week and they asked me what I thought would be the hardest thing to accomplish on my list. After thinking, I said probably riding a camel in the Sahara. I didn’t think I would actually make it out there.
So after this day, I parted ways from Jeff and Alyssa and was off to Thailand. I was flying through Egypt and when I got to that airport at 11pm they told me my flight wasn’t until the next day at 11pm. They put me up in a 5-star hotel and gave me vouchers for 3 meals at a beautiful buffet for the next day.
I was in Egypt for a day and I wanted to go see the pyramids (another thing that was on my bucket list). I got a safe taxi from the hotel for a discounted price and began my adventure from Jesus.
I got to see so much of Egypt. I went all over Cairo and when I came to the pyramids, I had the option to ride a camel in the Sahara to the pyramids. I flipped out and said yes!! Not only did I get to ride a camel, I also got to ride the guide’s horse for a little too (also on my bucket list).
In one day, Jesus gifted me with doing three things that I had only dreamt about doing and I didn’t even ask. He loves me so much that He surprised me with such an amazing adventurous day!
After this, and after enjoying some great buffets, I was back on course to get to Thailand.
The Lord laid Thailand on my heart back in March and I felt Him leading me to spend the summer there on a vision trip with AIM. I am with a small team and we have been working closely with Emmi our amazing contact here in Thailand.
Everyday looks pretty different. Our focus is praying into what CGA (Center for Global Action) Thailand should look like. A lot of this trip so far has been taking one day at a time and asking the Lord what to do with it. It has been stretching me even more in listening to God’s voice and falling what I hear Him say.
I still have some time here and some funds to raise so I ask you to consider donating. I am currently looking for monthly donors (I need to $750 a month) but any amount will help. Thanks!
