We were also able to go to a Nursing home one day. This was our fist day of this kind of ministry. We arrived there and they needed some help with the yard so some of us picked up the brooms and tried to sweep the leaves up.
It didn’t last long because shortly after we started, the rain came down (pretty sure that was God’s way of stopping us, He had something greater).
Alejandro (the pastor we are working with) asked if some of us would pray for a man there that was pretty sick. Me and three other teammates went into this man’s room. After much prayer, we truly felt the presence of the Lord. We did not see a big change in this man, but we were obedient and his health is in the Lord’s hands.
After we finished praying, Alejandro came into the room and told us that the man next store (an 88 year old man) wanted to accept Christ as his Savior. Seriously? That’s so awesome, he asked us to go and pray for him so we did. Alejandro was able to talk to him more and we saw him surrender his life to the Lord.
What a blessing to witness the transformation of a man! We could see a difference on his face. He lit up and the joy of the Lord was so evident. He gave us all hugs and was rejoicing.
This is why I am here, to further His Kingdom! Whether it be digging a hole or witnessing a life changed. I am here to be His hands and feet and I feel so blessed that He allowed me to see fruit in this moment!
