Be still and know that I am God!
When going into this month I did not know what to expect. I knew that we couldn’t talk about Jesus and that our team would be living in a place were our closest Christian contact was about 2 hours away.
When we arrived to our site, we all took time to pray and ask God what he wanted us to do this month because we only had two days a week of teaching. That was our planned ministry this month.
After prayer we felt the Lord telling us two things. He told us to rest in Him and to beautify this place.
We lived at the teaching center that was not in the greatest condition. It was clean for the most part, but it did not have a great paint job and storage spaces. We have very talented people on this team who were able to buy shelving and reorganize books and paint wall murals. This place is beautiful.
And then we learned to rest in God! Every morning we begin in prayer, Bible study, devotions and praise and worship! Every morning! It has been my favorite part of the month. We have just been able to grow and soak up His love together as a team.
This month has been such a great experience for me. I feel rested in Him and so ready for what He has next for me!
