The crazy thing about traveling the world is that God never ceases to amaze me. No matter how many mountain sides or how many star lit skies I see, I can’t help but to look at His creation in awe.
I am here in Honduras starting the next chapter of my life. It is incredible how each chapter gets scarier and scarier. This time I am not only traveling the world as a missionary, but I am also leading a group though this journey. God gave me two amazing coaches, Bobby and Sharon, an amazing mentor, Hope and two amazing co-leaders, Alyssa and Jeffrey. Praise the Lord for all of them!
Jesus is teaching me so many things and one of them is love. I have been praying for His crazy love. I want to be able to just look at someone, anyone and have a heart for them. I want to see each and every person through His eyes.
How come the disciples dropped everything to follow Him, how come the children ran to Him, how come the tax collectors and prostitutes hung out with Him? It was because of His love.
They could see it, they could feel it. Think about it. How often to people give up everything to follow someone or something they have hardly heard about, how often do children run to grown men, how often do “sinners” feel comfortable with teachers and preachers.
It wasn’t just the words He said or the things He did. There was something different in His presence, in the way He saw people. He truly loved them. In one glance, they could feel His love.
I want that. I want people to see Christ’s love bursting out of me. I want people to know their worth just by a smile.
