November 20th,2011- After 11 Months of being gone, I
got to reunite with my family at Ohare Airport in Chicago, USA.
I’m Home!

I spent the first couple weeks holding my new niece,
trying to get back into the swing of
technology, and sharing stories… I
dreaded the  “So, What’s Next?” question, because the bottom line was
that I had NO CLUE what I was supposed to be doing.

I’m reminded on a constant basis that Our God is so good… Any anxiety I had about ‘what’s next’ was completely unnessisary, because direction and Jobs pretty much just ‘fell’ into my lap… They were very clearly ‘God’. I am going to stay living in the Chicago area (at my
amazing parents’ house)
I am busy working as a Nanny, Substitute Teacher, and the YMCA… But the
thing I am most excited about doesn’t even give me a paycheck. I am
volunteering as a teacher at an organization called Rock House Kids…

Rock House Kids is a kids only safe-house located in the inner city of Rockford’s most At Risk Children. They provide food, cloths, tutoring, chapel, and bible studies. I am one of the 3rd Grade Teachers here, and cannot wait to see how my talents and passion for youth is going to be used with this organization.

Just as I suspected, my priorities have
completely changed over the past year.
The World Race wasn’t a ‘One & Done’ thing. I am not
returning home to go ‘back to reality’. THIS is my reality now. I plan on
spending the next 6 months working, volunteering, continuing to
learn guitar, persuing my passion in media arts, and GROWing into the great things I have been called to do.

More details to come later, but I just signed on to Lead a college age trip similar to the World Race. It is called PASSPORT and we will be spending 2 Months of Summer 2012 in South America. I couldn’t be more excited to Tackle the Challenge of being a Missions Trip ‘Leader’.

So, What’s next? Big things. =) I am in a good spot, and I am God’s to use for His Kingdom.
