Wow. First off: Apologies for not
posting in a few weeks. We had about 10 mins internet time in Malawi
and that’s it. Secondly, thank you thank you thank you for all your
prayers this past month! 🙂 And lastly, I have so much to share with
ya’ll!

July was all about coming alive! After
3 long days of traveling we finally had arrived to Malawi! The moment
we crossed the border from Mozambique into this place everything
changed! Immediately we felt an incredible feeling of peace and joy
which saturates the entire country! The spirit of the Lord is all
over Malawi! We fell in love with it literally the second we set foot
there! 🙂

day 1: We moved into the front yard (in
our tents! :)) of our contact, Pastor Harvey and his family! And that
same day we started ministry. Every single day we went and preached
the word to churches in central Malawi! Our mission was to encourage,
empower and love on everyone we came in contact with. Honestly, when
I found out we were going to be preachin’ the word everyday I felt so
inadequate, yet so excited at the same time.

I mean, I know I have plenty of stories
to tell and can talk all about our Father for hours and hours. I
wouldn’t say I was nervous, but I did know that Teachin the word is
not exactly my forte. After just a few minutes of contemplating how I
was going to do this the Lord gave me a great revelation! It changed
my feelings of inadequacy to immediate excitement! And this is what I
carried with me everyday knowing that, although I was a physical
person speaking to churches it really was not me speaking. I was
simply the chosen vessel. So here’s my revelation:It has absolutely
nothing to do with me and EVERYTHING to do with Him!

GOD DOES NOT CALL US TO DO
WHAT WE CAN DO,

HE CALLS US TO DO WHAT WE
CANNOT DO!

We are made strong in His
weaknesses! This is HUGE!

It has NOTHING TO DO WITH
US and EVERYTHING TO DO WITH HIM!

I had to get my eyes off
of myself and onto Him! This changed my perspective from who am I,
what can I do, what can’t I do, etc. and transforming it to WHO HE
IS!!!

So many times we as
Christians get so caught up in ourselves and what God can give us.
WAKE UP! That’s not what it’s about! It’s ALL about WHO HE IS!

The stories continue. Malawi
changed me a lot a lot. It actually means “land of fire”.
And like our contact said, “so when you come to Malawi, you are
tapping the FIRE OF GOD! You cannot leave NOT changed!” With
that, God’s set my heart on fire. My prayer is that, as I share my
MALAWIAN memories with you in this next set of blogs, this wild fire
of mine will spread like crazy opening your eyes, and igniting your
heart! Amen.
