HELLOOOOO!!!!

Well, I’ll be honest in saying, that this time leaving was surprisingly much more difficult than it was leaving for the race. It’s almost as though I need to ‘grieve’ what I always thought my life was going to look like-teaching spanish and what not. I never thought I’d be sitting here in Romania, let alone having been called to be a missionary around the world for 11 months, or being called to Spain, and who knows what comes after that. It’s more than I ever imagined my life would be…and that is pretty awesome! J

Anyways, after 2 flights, a twelve hour layover, and a 24 hour travel day,  I just wanted to let you all know that I made it safely to Romania. My travel day could not have gone more smoothly, so thank you so so much for your prayers! Today I met up with my friend Mark, and we went down town to explore Bucharest. After walking the streets for 2 hours looking for a place to eat we finally found a cute little café where we spent the afternoon relaxing and catching up. This country is really beautiful, and I have a feeling that as we make our way to Brasov it’ll be even more pretty.

Although we’re not currently ‘world racers’, we feel like we are all over again-meaning that we spent the entire afternoon acting like we’ve been here before,  walking around town trying to communicate with the people and not understanding a word they say,  not even being phased by random dogs roamning the litter covered streets, and eating junk for dinner-yogurt and cookies bought from a grocery store to save money, sharing water from a gallon, and we’re walking around this hotel in travel clothes obviously standing out amongst everyone else in their business suits. Haha J completely normal to us…just like ‘home.’

Later tonight we will go to pick up some other people from the airport. We will stay here in Bucharest tonight, then leave tomorrow morning to drive about 2 hours to Brasov where we will be for the remainder of our time with lots and lots of people! I’m EXCITED!!!

I ask that ya’ll continue to pray safety for everyone who is traveling to the conference (200+ people) and just that God can do amazing things during our time here.

Thank you all so much for your support in this…I miss you already and love you so so so much!
