I have sat here searching for words for this blog day after day now; typing, deleting, typing, deleting. But I am struggling to find sufficient enough words to describe the magnitude of God’s Sovereignty and glory!
Have you ever witnessed the coming together of divine appointments? Have you ever been neck deep in the whirlpool of events that God is stirring, and all you can do is stand there in awe?
Our month spent in Thailand was all about learning to open our eyes and recognize where God was connecting people with the purpose of advancing His Kingdom, and recognizing that His plan is perfect! Much of our time was spent in prayer over our ministry to the girls in the bars, over the the city of Chiang Mai, and over our squad. Through that time my team learned to be more in tune with what God was doing around us. We learned to ask for eyes to see where His Spirit is moving, and He gave them to us; everyday we learned to see His hand in the smallest things.
This lesson was culminated in our final week in Thailand. My team and I had the privilege of standing in the middle of God’s whirlpool watching Him bring people together to do some insanely wonderful things in the city of Chiang Mai! I wish I could give you every detail of these meetings, but I have neither sufficient enough words nor the room it would take to do so – if you are interested I would be more than happy to tell you personally the story, it will blow your mind!
As many of you know, one major goal of this journey for me is to find out where God wants me. My subconscious expectation was that it would be handed to me on a silver platter – but that is not the case. God is stripping me of all of my expectations, definitions, and bounds I have cluttered my life with so that He can redefine and truly shape me how He wants. And He has given me the only expectation that I can hold on to – an expectation that His divine hand is working. He is teaching me to ask Him and not assume.
This is lesson didn’t end in Thailand; I’m diving deeper into the whirlpool, and I want to invite you to join me! If you wait with expectancy of the divine you will not be disappointed! His hand can be seen in everything in our lives, but we have to be looking for it!
