Guys, we serve an AMAZING God! With an overflowing heart of thankfulness I am excited to say that: I AM FULLY FUNDED!!
I am thankful for the opportunity to stand back in amazement and watch as God provides the means for me to continue this journey towards the World Race.
For those of you who don’t know me well, I’ll let you in on a secret: I tend to be a worrywart; in school I worried about getting into the right classes, turning in that next paper, and upcoming exams. When I was on breaks between semesters and had none of those things to easily feed my worrying appetite I turned the focus to my future: job, home, and in general, life. The beast of all worries for me, though, has always been finances.
Enter, the World Race.
As I was seriously praying over and thinking about applying for the World Race last October, amidst the many conversations with my parents and other mentors, finances was the one thing that was constantly brought up. When faced with the daunting thought of raising so much money it would be expected that that one facet alone would be the thing to hold me back. To my parents, and most assuredly, my surprise my only response was, “If this is where God wants me, then He will provide.”
Now let me be completely frank here, I was surprised to hear that coming from my mouth! I mean, I could give you Scripture references all day about God’s faithfulness and provision and for not worrying; but it’s one thing to spout those off and another to say it, and truly mean it!
But God has surely provided! Never once during this time of fundraising have I worried about where the money would come from. His provision has added to the confirmations that this is where I should be!
Through this whole journey I have continually been reminded of the words of Psalm 46:10 which says, “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” In my stillness God has provided — and it’s my prayer that through that, God will be exalted throughout the earth!
Family, friends, I am beyond blessed to be surrounded by people so in love with God and so passionate about the work He is doing! Thank you for your support, may God be completely exalted through your generosity!
