After 4 hours of traveling on a smelly and hot bus we arrived to White Springs, South Africa. This month my team will be serving alongside another team, Fierce Pursuit.  As we were driving towards White Springs I thought that for some reason we were going to end up in a small village with no running water and electricity. I thought that surly this month we would live in a remote area because our living conditions last month were AMAZING. The bus dropped us off near a restaurant and then we were picked up by our contacts. We are being driven to our location and I am amazed by all the big beautiful green trees surrounding the area. We pull towards our home for the month and I am in complete awe. Not only are we staying in a beautiful house with beds, showers, full kitchen, and a washing machine; here we get to see the evidence of God’s gift of creation. My favorite part about living here this month is stepping outside and seeing a sky full of stars, living in the city I have never seen a night sky so beautiful. This month we will be working with Michael’s Children’s Village or MCV. MCV is a special type of orphanage because they believe that it is important for children to grow up in Godly homes with both a mom and a dad. MCV has three houses with about 7 to 8 kids each with house parents who look after the kids. I am truly excited to see what God has in store for us at this ministry site.
