This month we worked with an organizwtion called India Christian ministries, in coastal Adrah Pradesh. This month my team was to travel to different villages share the gospel in the mornings and lead a children's program in the evenings. Every Sunday this month my team was brought to a new village where we were going to live for the week. We pitched our tents ans set up camp in the church. We then traveled to the different villages from the church.
It was a true blessing being able to share the gospel with people whom have never heard the name of Jesus before. It was also very difficult for me because I didn't know if the people really got the message of Salvation. It is very easy for the people in India to say that they accept Jesus as savior because they are just adding one more God to the many and that truly breaks my heart. What I had to remind myself daily was that that word of God does jot go void. I had to trust that the words spoken to the people in these villages would penetrate deep in their hearts and that it would stir something inside them that would cause them to leave all false gods behind and follow Jesus.
Working with the children of the different villages was my favorite aspect of this month. The children's program was called CCDC and it provides tutoring and a meal at the end of the evening. Daily we lead the kids on a lesson of their body parts in English using the song head, shoulder, knees, and toes and singing the hooky spooky. We then taught the kids a couple of Christian children songs. After all the fun songs I would read a kids a Bible story misty Jesus calms the storm, and Jesus feeds the five thousand and then I would explain the story. After that we sang more songs. We then ended the night with games. We would then help feed the kids.
