I have to admit that Swaziland has been my favorite month thus far. Granted I’ve only been on the race for 3 months. The Lord blessed us with taking us up on a mountain away from the city/town and allowing us to serve around 60 kids at El Shaddai orphanage. The children here are filled with so much joy and they truly desire to be loved. I have connected with many kids here but Bongiwe has stolen my heart. I looked forward to seeing her beautiful smile every day. Every couple of days she would write me notes and make me bracelets. Bongiwe was truly a gift from the Lord this month. Daily I met with her in the afternoons for tutoring but after tutoring our favorite thing to day was read the bible before children’s church. It was a blessing to watch her read the word of God and understand what she was reading. I absolutely fell in love with Bongiwe and my heart just broke having to say goodbye to her along with the other beautiful kids. Serving at El Shaddai was such an amazing experience and I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to be up on a mountain away from the rest of the world to remind me of his Holiness, his faithfulness, and most of all to show me his love.
My prayer is that she and all of the kids at El Shaddai will know who Jesus is and can continue to spread his word here in Swaziland.
